Destination Mekong is committed to promoting sustainable tourism in the Mekong Region. Through collaborative efforts, it advocates responsible travel practices that preserve cultural heritage, protect natural resources, and uplift local communities. By embracing sustainability, we ensure the region’s unique charm thrives while safeguarding it for future generations.

DM is participating in various international initiatives and is an undersigner of the Glasgow Declaration. We are particularly committed to supporting micro- and social enterprises, SMEs, impact startups, and youth/female-owned businesses.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent a global call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and improve political and economic stability globally. Through 17 bold commitments and 169 targets, the goals seek to drive global action across social, environmental and economic development issues up until 2030. Each goal is interlinked and they influence each other in complex ways. We are aligning our initiative to the UN SGDs to help to reach these targets.
