VIVIN Grocery Food Truck in Thailand Brings Organic & Artisanal Groceries to Neighbourhoods During the Covid-19 Crisis

During the current Covid-19 pandemic, Nicolas Vivin the entrepreneurial founder of VIVIN Grocery / VIVIN Food along with his business partner wife, were faced with losing the greater part of their business due to hotels and restaurants closures on top of facing the challenge of the Government imposed curfew only months after opening their stand-alone boutique grocery store. Although the regulations are slowly being relaxed, customers are naturally cautious and afraid to leave the house or go to high risk, populated enclosed areas such as major supermarkets. The aftermath of Covid-19 is expected to last for the rest of the year, both in health risk and financial hardship.

The enterprising couple came up with a solution that could help customers to discover their products with minimal effort and risk and the brand could get some cash flow for their small business, impacted by Covid-19. What they did first was look to their immediate resources. The idea then came about to supply the bakery, organic vegetables, cheese and charcuterie to the people by way of a transport vehicle. It took two weeks to remodel their old transportation delivery truck which was originally purchased to send supplies to hotels, into a refrigerated mobile Grocery on wheels.

VIVIN Grocery Food Truck plans to move from one key location to the next every weekend, in order to reach different communities who can benefit from healthy, organic, natural grocery.  The truck will be parked at locations which are open-air and shaded, some with even a place to sit so customers may enjoy their purchase, like freshly baked croissants with a coffee or cool beverage. They are also reaching out to their peers and public to help them find more suitable, private locations.

VIVIN Grocery will reveal weekly on their social media pages, where they will pop-up their operations. VIVIN Grocery Food Truck will be trading every Saturday mornings, and occasionally both Saturday and Sunday. The VIVIN Grocery Food Truck team will open up the back of their truck which will supply shelves and crates filled with quality essentials and delicacies; free-range eggs, certified organic vegetables, jams and chutneys, bread and pastries (baked that morning) along with plenty of local Thai, artisanal cheese and cold cuts. Look out for the announcement on their @vivinmaison facebook /  @vivinmaison instagram / LINE: @VIVINGrocery pages for updates!
